Overview
The Temporary Part-Time Office Assistant provides administrative and front-office support to help WCPC operations run smoothly during a temporary staff leave. This position supports the Executive Director of Operations and Operations Team by assisting with day-to-day office coordination, communication, purchasing, meeting support, and other administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate is organized, flexible, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of routine administrative responsibilities. This is a temporary position intended to provide additional operational capacity from October 2026 through April 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Office & Administrative Support
- Help ensure the front office operates smoothly and daily office needs are met.
- Check in with and provide support to Front Desk Volunteers.
- Monitor the general information email and ensure messages are routed appropriately.
- Check the invoice email and forward invoices to the appropriate staff or department.
- Assist with incoming mail and general office correspondence as needed.
- Order and maintain office supplies, snacks, toner, and other routine supplies.
- Communicate office closures and holidays and assist with related signage and calendar updates.
- Assist the Executive Director of Operations with administrative projects as assigned.
- Meeting & Communication Support
- Take notes during designated staff meetings and distribute cascading communication.
- Update upcoming events and calendar information for Operations meetings.
- Assist with meeting preparation and basic meeting logistics as needed.
- Financial & Recordkeeping Support
- Complete designated monthly credit-card reconciliations and organize supporting receipts.
- Assist with routine invoice and vendor administration.
- Prepare and send first- and second-time giver letters as assigned.
- Maintain organized administrative records related to assigned responsibilities
- Staff & Ministry Support
- Coordinate staff birthday cards, treats, and other routine staff recognition.
- Assist with designated ministry hospitality and supply needs.
- Support monthly staff lunches, meetings, church events, and seasonal activities.
- Help coordinate assigned event or retreat administrative details.
- Perform other administrative duties as requested.

Desired Background & Skill Set
- 1–3 years of administrative, office, or similar support experience preferred.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Proactive and able to identify routine needs and follow through.
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable working independently while also functioning as part of a team.
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
- Comfortable learning church databases, administrative systems, and other office technology.
- Experience in a church, nonprofit, or ministry environment is a plus.
Works with: Executive Director of Operations, Lead Pastor, Finance Manager and
Communications Team.
Reports to: Executive Director of Operations
Hours: 5 hours per day 20 -25 hours week.
Schedule: Sunday 8:30 -1:30, Monday - Thursday 9:00-2:00pm
This is a temporary, part-time position anticipated to run from October
2026 through April 2027.
Hire Contingencies

Compensation: $28.00 per hour
