GSS Fabrication Specialist - (Welder)
Job Requirements
- · Two plus years’ experience in fabrication required in pipe fitting, structural welding, and MIG welding.
- · Experience welding pressure vessels is highly preferred.
- · Ability to read fabrication drawings and blueprints.
- · Strong knowledge of welding procedures and fabrication practices.
- · Familiar with shop tools, and fabrication equipment.
- · Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- · Valid drivers license and clean driving record, and reliable transportation to get to work.
- · Able to work assigned hours and maintain reliable attendance.
- · Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- · Ability to operate cell phone, tablets, and basic computer skills.
- · Organizational skills – keep tools and equipment maintained and kept in place when not in use.
- · Perform duties assigned by management team. Assist with assembling customer orders, load and unload orders for customers and vendors and put up stock items.
Job Responsibility
· Perform MIG welding on carbon steel and other materials as required.
· Fabricate, fit and assemble piping, manifolds, pressure vessels, and structural components.
· Layout, fit, and weld common pipe saddles and pipe assemblies.
· Operate manual and mechanical welding equipment safely and efficiently
· Measure, cut, bevel, grind, and prepare materials for fabrication.
· Perform repairs and modifications to existing equipment when required.
· Maintain a professional and positive attitude towards customers and co-workers.
· Be prompt and ready to start work on time for scheduled shifts. If there is an attendance issue, notify your supervisor & make notation in your time clock app. Stay productive and on task while on the clock.
· Keep up with all company policies and procedures.
· Complete paperwork and documentation.
· Follow all company safety procedures.
· Be aware of surroundings and follow all safety procedures while performing duties.
· Keep all workspaces clean, free of trash and debris, and organized.
· Stay productive and on task that are assigned on fabrication projects that are assigned to you by supervisor.
Compensation: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
