Touro Property Management is seeking a Groundskeeper for one of our communities. As a Groundskeeper, you play a key role in maintaining the curb appeal, cleanliness, and safety of our community’s outdoor areas. You help create a welcoming environment for residents and visitors through consistent landscaping, trash removal, and seasonal upkeep. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude toward property care.

Key Responsibilities:

Property Upkeep

  • Maintain cleanliness of grounds, including driveways, parking lots, dumpster areas, sidewalks, and public spaces.

  • Remove trash and debris daily to ensure a clean, safe appearance.

  • Assist with trash-outs, lock changes, and minor tasks during unit turnovers.

  • Support pool maintenance and upkeep, as needed.
Landscaping & Seasonal Maintenance

  • Mow lawns, trim hedges, prune trees, and maintain flowerbeds.

  • Perform seasonal tasks including leaf removal, snow shoveling, and holiday décor setup.
Irrigation Monitoring

  • Check irrigation systems for proper operation and water efficiency.

  • Report any leaks or issues promptly for repair.
Weed & Pest Management

  • Identify and address pest or weed problems with safe, approved methods.
Tool & Equipment Use

  • Safely operate landscaping tools such as blowers, trimmers, and mowers.

  • Maintain equipment and report repair or replacement needs.
Teamwork & Communication

  • Coordinate with property management and maintenance teams to align outdoor efforts with property goals.

  • Participate in other duties as assigned to support overall operations.
Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE while on the job.

  • Immediately report any unsafe conditions or hazards to supervisors.

Key Qualities:

  • Reliable and self-motivated with strong attention to detail.

  • Physically fit with the ability to lift, bend, kneel, and handle landscaping tools.

  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication and reporting skills.

  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation required.

  • Basic knowledge of landscaping best practices and safety guidelines.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor maintenance is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent walking, bending, lifting, climbing stairs, and outdoor exposure.

  • Must be able to lift 1–25 lbs. regularly, 25–75 lbs. occasionally, and over 75 lbs. with assistance.

  • Visual and auditory abilities necessary for reading signs, operating tools, and communicating with team members.

Schedule & Travel:

  • Shifts may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends based on property needs.

  • Occasional travel between properties may be required.
