We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team at StoneBridge Academy as a Full-time Toddler Classroom Assistant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with toddlers (18-35 months) and ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Assisting the Lead Teacher

Providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for the toddlers in our care
Aid in the implementation of age-appropriate activities and curriculum that promote learning and development
Provide individualized attention to each child to support their unique needs
Assist in toilet training kids as they are developmentally ready
Ability to manage routines and schedules

Communication

Communicate regularly with parents to keep them informed about their child's progress and to maintain a collaborative and supportive relationship
Work closely with a team of experienced caregivers to ensure the smooth operation of the Toddler program
Be active and participating in team culture and conversations via Slack and other communication avenues as needed

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
Education and Experience:

Must be at least 18 years of age
Licensed driver with reliable transportation
Must have one of the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 1500 verifiable hours working with kids
- CDA
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in child education or development OR related field
Must be able to pass Nebraska State Fingerprinting and a background check

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs which may include lifting children onto changing tables
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to sit on the floor with kids
Ability to work outside in various weather conditions while children play

Compensation: $15.50 - $17.25 per hour

"A Place to Gather" - The Commons is a gathering space located inside of StoneBridge Christian Church (Omaha Campus) providing space for the community to gather, grab a great cup of coffee or a treat and spend time together. We have a 3 story indoor playground that's fully enclosed to keep kids safe and entertained and two outdoor playspaces.
