The Missions Pastor provides leadership and oversight for all missions initiatives, including leader development, missionary relationships, foreign mission trips, fundraising and event planning, and budget management. This role blends spiritual leadership with strong organizational and execution skills.

Highlighted Responsibilities
  • Develop and coach mission leaders through training, encouragement, and accountability
  • Design, implement, and evaluate mission strategies and activities to strengthen engagement and impact
  • Plan and execute mission events and fundraisers, including the Three Cross Gala and Cowboys for Kids
  • Develop marketing and communication strategies to support mission campaigns and volunteer engagement
  • Coordinate local and foreign mission trips, 3rd Saturday missions, Three Cross meat distribution, and volunteer events
  • Build and maintain relationships with missionaries and other organizations we work with; coordinate visiting speakers
  • Oversee multiple missions budgets and maintain an accurate missions calendar, volunteer teams, and outreach events
Required Experience & Skills
  • A minimum of 5 years of ministry experience in a senior leadership role is required
  • 5+ years managing complex budgets, meeting fiscal goals, and successfully completing financial audits is required
  • Experience in planning and running large events is required
  • Prior experience in foreign missions desired
  • Proficient in Google Suite; able to learn and utilize church management software 
  • Prior marketing or advertising experience helpful

  • Be humble, teachable, and a good listener
Education & Credentials
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies or a related field (required)
  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Licensed, ordained, or able to complete ordination requirements through an accredited institution while employed at LSCC.
