Description:
- Create a welcoming and safe environment for children and their families.
- Establish and maintain trust and a caring relationship with children and parents by greeting them enthusiastically.
- Provide age-appropriate care, including feedings, diaper changes, escorting children to the restroom, putting babies down for a nap, holding or sitting with children and infants, and providing rest time, as needed.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, including playtime, games, stories, crafts, prayer, paintings, drawings, handwork, songs, and similar activities.
- Deliver short Bible lessons to minister the word of God and lead praise and worship with song and dance.
- Maintain a clean and safe nursery environment, adhering to all church and nursery guidelines, procedures, and operational policies, including safety and health guidelines.
- Supervise children and infants during playtime and monitor their behavior and activities constantly to ensure their health and safety at all times.
- Change children’s and infants’ clothes and diapers as needed to ensure their comfort and personal hygiene at all times.
- Ensure proper handwashing hygiene for yourself and your children while assisting them in the restroom, after helping them with tissues for coughs, sneezes, and runny noses, after diaper changes, and before giving bottles to infants.
- Ensure the appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of the nursery are maintained by cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing all toys and putting them in the proper location at the end of each service.
- Return children to parents/guardians with affirmative and constructive feedback, such as reporting diaper changes, feedings, and activities in which the child participated.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and frequent bending.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to reach, bend, and kneel frequently.
Hours:
Must be available to work during church services on Sundays from 7 am to 1 pm, Mondays from 6 pm to 8:30 pm, and weeknights during Bible study classes (Wednesdays & Thursdays 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm) and Friday mornings, 8:30 am to 10:30 am.
