- Work closely with the Director of Sales and corporate resources to develop a portfolio of business - actively seeking and bringing on new accounts.
- Generation and maintenance of a lead list illustrating a potential business opportunity
- Conducting cold calls to introduce Circle Logistics services to prospective clients.
- Responsible for preparation and submission of RFI/RFPs for potential and existing clients.
- Utilize spot quoting tools and show an ability to execute.
- Responsible for maintenance and management of the sales funnel within the CRM tool.
- Responsible for identification of and communication of potential growth opportunities
- Responsible for meeting key growth metrics to include total revenue and margin
- Telephone qualification and face to face calls on potential customers to determine customer needs.
- Utilize spot quoting tools and show an ability to execute.
- Preparation of written proposals to customers
- Face to face presentations of Circle Logistics services to customers
- Convert prospects into customers and focus on complete supply chain solutions
- Manage opportunities, projects and daily transactions with both prospects and customers
- Monthly or weekly continuous improvement calls and strategy with management
- 3 - 5 years sales experience required
- Bachelor's degree preferred, equivalent experience considered
- Proficient in Google Drive and Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, reports)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment and multitask
- Strong attention to detail
- Willing to be available after hours and weekends if needed
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work in office
- Leadership skills preferred

Circle Logistics was co-founded in 2011 as an asset carrier by industry experts Eric Fortmeyer and Chad Buchanan. Within two years, our founders expanded into freight brokerage by opening their first branch office in Chicago under Sr. VP of Sales & Operations, Andrew Smith.
