The Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse (CADA) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Recovery SB Program Manager to lead our outpatient adult substance use treatment program in downtown Santa Barbara. 

As the Program Manager, you will be responsible for supervising a team of treatment counselors, providing performance evaluations, and ensuring the proper operation of all aspects of the program. You will manage clinical, administrative, and client-related services, oversee treatment curriculum and scheduling, and ensure all client documentation and billing comply with state and federal regulations. Qualifications: 
  • MA in Counseling (preferred) or related field with pursuit or possession of appropriate certification/licensing (MFCC, MSW, MFT, CADAC, etc.). 
  • Certified AOD required. 
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a leadership or supervisory role. 
  • Extensive knowledge of individual and group chemical dependency counseling, pharmacology, and withdrawal symptoms from psychoactive drugs. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups including clients, professionals, and community members. 
  • Public speaking experience and the ability to present at in-service training, orientations, and other public forums.   
Responsibilities: 
  • Oversee the daily operations and development of the Project Recovery program. 
  • Supervise and provide performance evaluations for treatment counselors. 
  • Ensure compliance with State of California licensing laws and regulations for clinical staff. 
  • Conduct client intakes, assessments, and develop treatment plans in consultation with primary counselors. 
  • Facilitate group or individual treatment sessions as needed. 
  • Oversee the coordination of treatment curriculum, providers, and scheduling. 
  • Ensure proper billing for all eligible treatment services and assist with the collection of client fees. 
  • Maintain and ensure client file documentation is complete and up to date. 
  • Monitor client attendance and progress, making adjustments to treatment as necessary. 
  • Manage and ensure internal audits are conducted to meet legal and program requirements, including DMC ODS guidelines. 
  • Stay informed on community resources and the latest research in alcohol and drug treatment.   
This is a full-time, 40 hours/week exempt position, with benefits including health, dental, vision and life insurance; retirement contribution; and paid time off (vacation, sick, holiday).     

Salary range: $68,640-$72,010, dependent on qualifications and experience. Candidates who are bilingual in Spanish and English will be considered for additional compensation. 

In compliance with the California Department of Health Care Services, staff require an up-to-date Tuberculosis test during the duration of employment.
