POSITION SUMMARY:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chief Program Officer reports directly to President & CEO and is responsible for providing strategic leadership, management, and guidance for ULMS legacy programs: Education, Financial Empowerment, Housing, and Workforce Development. This position will provide oversight of the VP of Housing & Financial Empowerment and the VP of Youth & Workforce Development. The Chief Program Officer will cultivate and manage relationships, oversee data analysis, and leverage programmatic fundraising opportunities toward accomplishing the organization’s mission and common goals. In addition, they will work to understand the roles and contributions of all sectors of the organization to mobilize resources through meaningful engagement.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, public administration, social service, business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- 7+ years progressive leadership experience with a proven track record of successfully developing, leading, managing and growing a performance and outcome-based team, preferably within the nonprofit or philanthropic sector
- 4+ years of experience successfully supervising and managing staff and teams
- Experience with budgeting and financial management of operating and grantmaking budgets
- Knowledge of human service delivery systems and demonstrated ability to research issues, develop, implement, and evaluate strategies, prepare proposals and request for proposals and conduct grant management activities
- Understanding of the social, economic, and political landscape of the greater Seattle area
- Understanding and comprehension of key local issues and challenges, including those affecting communities that have been historically marginalized
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple, complex projects in a deadline-driven and high-achieving environment
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of success in solving complex and dynamic situations
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction, showing initiative, creativity, self-discipline, and effective time and project management skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with diverse social/economic audiences
- Ability to distill complex information into a simple and compelling message for maximum clarity, understanding, and impact.

ULMS Total Compensation
