Position Overview
This position involves directing university choral ensembles, with responsibilities that include leading rehearsals, selecting appropriate repertoire, organizing performances, and collaborating with faculty in planning departmental and university-wide events. The position supports undergraduate students in the Music Education, Music Performance, and Worship Leadership programs. Additional duties may include voice coaching.
Qualifications:
· A minimum of a Master’s degree in Choral Conducting, Vocal Performance, Music Education, or a related field is required.
· Demonstrated experience directing choral ensembles at the collegiate, high school, or community level.
· Strong musicianship, including effective rehearsal techniques and knowledge of diverse choral literature.
· Ability to inspire and engage students in a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
· Familiarity with sacred, classical, and contemporary choral repertoire, especially within a Christian university context, is preferred.
· Piano proficiency and basic arranging skills are desirable.
· Experience in worship leadership or church music ministry is a plus.
