FMM is seeking a motivated professional to fill our HVAC Project Manager/Estimator position. FMM is a maintenance and construction company servicing both residential and commercial clients nationwide.

Job Summary: The HVAC Project Manager/Estimator oversees the entire life cycle of HVAC projects, from initial planning to completion. They manage budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. They analyze project specifications to create detailed cost estimates for HVAC systems, including labor, materials, and equipment 

Essential Job Duties: (Included but not limited to) 
  • Review open work orders and report status to the HVAC Manager.
  • Give clients weekly updates on the status of work orders.
  • Follow up with clients after project completion to ensure customer service aligns with company core values.
  • Oversee projects from start to finish to ensure they are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Prepare and manage construction project schedules, workers, and resource needs.
  • Control all project costs, including material, labor, subcontractors, and other fees involved.
  • Provide monthly project billing requirements to administration. 
  • Provide detailed estimates based on conceptual documents as well as schematic, design development, and construction documents.
  • Responsible for all take-offs, pricing, and producing the final estimate to be incorporated into the final work product.
  • Contact suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers to identify material and equipment pricing to support estimates. 
  • Prepare submittal logs, check submittals, and maintain RFI logs.
  • Document and submit change orders.
  • Coordinate the submission of all close-out documentation as required by the General Contractor. 
 
Required Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience: 
  • A deep understanding of HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration technologies
  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial HVAC installations, with a focus on managing projects, budgets, and schedules 
  • 3-5 years of experience in HVAC estimating, preferably in commercial settings 
  • HVAC diagnostic and troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation skills
  • Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and familiarity with project management and estimating software
  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • The ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications 
 
Physical Requirements: 
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
  • Ability to pass a Fit for Duty Screening

Compensation: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
