Recruiter I
Role: Recruits students to attend Grayson College through a variety of communications methods by phone, email and in person visits. It is the role of the Recruiter I to share information about career pathways and majors. The Recruiter I is responsible for gathering students documents, providing outreach to prospective students, analyzing high school and college transcripts for college placement and transferability of coursework and admitting students to the college. The Recruiter I is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of student records and enters required information into the student information systems and/or CRM to complete the admissions process. This position requires attention to detail and a high level of customer service and accuracy.
The salary range for this position is $16.44 to $24.66 per hour.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- 40% - Serves students as a primary representative of Grayson College; shares information about the college and the enrollment process in person, by phone, or electronic messaging such as email or text.
- 30% - Assists students with pathway selection, advises students on required admissions documents, gathers and processes admissions documents.
- 15%- Maintains accurate records regarding prospective student contacts.
- 10% - Evaluates student transcripts, transcribes transfer coursework, AP, college prep and test scores.
- 5%- Assists with new student orientation and advising as needed.
- 5% - Performs other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Experience: Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
- Education: (1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.
- Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the college for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
- Other Skills: Bilingual a plus
May require understanding or experience working with specific student populations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Relationship building and marketing skills.
Provides a high level of service to the community. - Physical Requirements: Office work is typically sedentary. However, the job requires the ability to travel by car to recruiting events and activities. Setup of events and participation may require walking, standing, bending, and moderate lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds.
- Work Environment: Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a typical office. Special events may require work outdoors or work at schools and community partner sites.
