Position Description:
Under the supervision of the Transportation Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for transporting residents in a safe, responsible manner to scheduled appointments and other activities. The role involves assisting residents on and off transportation vehicles, including aiding with residents’ assistive devices, and monitoring and assisting residents when away from the facility.

The role involves assisting residents on and off transportation vehicles, including aiding with residents’ assistive devices, and monitoring and assisting residents when away from the facility.
Essential Functions:
- Drive community vehicles to transport residents to appointments and activities, assisting residents with boarding and disembarking and aiding with assistive devices.
- Report hazardous conditions, equipment issues, accidents, and incidents promptly, maintaining necessary travel logs and conducting pre-trip vehicle inspections.
- Assist with activities and attend meetings and training sessions as required.
- Perform duties as assigned by authorized personnel or in emergency situations, including assisting in resident evacuations.
- Maintain positive relationships with residents, ensuring their satisfaction and needs are consistently met.
- Demonstrate understanding of technical aspects of the position and appropriate resident relations to enhance resident experience.
- Adhere to Village dress code, maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned by Village management.
Skills, Knowledge, Certifications, and Licensing:
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions in various formats.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- CDL license with a class P endorsement preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening).
- Positive attitude towards customer satisfaction and teamwork.
- Understanding and appreciation for senior living residents and lifestyle.
