Quality Requirements: Must learn and follow all quality requirements in accordance with API policy standards. Must follow all verbal instructions conveyed by the Department Manager regarding policy standards.
General Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and above average communication and organizational skills required. Above all must be a team player with a high level of dedication.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand/walk up to 90% of the workday; occasional bending, squatting, ascending ladders/stairways, and occasional lifting of up to 60 pounds is required. Possesses ability to assess weights and judge distance and heights.
Responsabilities:
- Works with Quality Assurance to ensure that tanks and vessels being produced are meeting quality and customer requirements.
- Assists inspector to ensure all quality records for designated production area are completed.
- Ensures that all equipment in the department is properly maintained.
- Complies with all safety and health procedures and policies, including donning appropriate protective equipment as required per department.
- Must know the processes for coating, blasting, and painting.
- Must be able to spray, roll, and brush on coating/paint on different substrates.
- Must be able to handle blast media hoses’ weight during blasting operations (60LB) and spray in a sustained, consistent pattern.
- Must know how to drive and work off scissor lift, ladders, and scaffolds for application and blasting, following all appropriate Safety procedures.
- Assists with the assembly of tanks and vessels.
- Knowledge of tanks and vessels is necessary, including all components and parts.
- Assists Quality Control on loading process of tanks and vessels and resolve all issues.
- Must know pumps functionality and be able to troubleshoot errors as they come up.
- Ensures pumps and components are properly maintained and ready for work at any given time.
- Assists in training for new and current employees that will be working with painting application.
- Reports any missing painting components in need of repair to supervisor.
- Serves as the Lead Painter before, during, and after application.
Average 60 hours per week.
