Job Summary:
The Seasonal Harvest Driver position is responsible for the pick-up and delivery of grapes from vineyards in Washington and Oregon to Maryhill Winery. The Seasonal Harvest Driver must perform all job responsibilities in a safe, timely, and efficient manner. This role requires a valid Class-B or A CDL, a clean driving record, and the ability to work flexible hours as needed during the busy harvest season.

The Seasonal Harvest Driver position is responsible for the pick-up and delivery of grapes from vineyards in Washington and Oregon to Maryhill Winery. The Seasonal Harvest Driver must perform all job responsibilities in a safe, timely, and efficient manner. This role requires a valid Class-B or A CDL, a clean driving record, and the ability to work flexible hours as needed during the busy harvest season.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Load truck accurately and safely for grape deliveries.
- Drive company vehicle to make deliveries and pick-ups, obeying traffic laws and safety procedures.
- Maintain appropriate valid CDL licensing, credentials, and acceptable driving record.
- Conduct self in a professional and ethical manner at all times. Treat external customers and internal associates with courtesy and respect.
- Provide communication via phone and email. Answer telephone calls and emails in a timely, professional and pleasant manner.
- Perform vehicle and/or forklift inspections as required, reporting routine or repair maintenance as needed to direct supervisor. Maintain presentable truck appearance, cleaning as needed. Maintain driver log.
- Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner, following all safety rules. Inform manager of any potentially hazardous conditions.
Requirements, Skills and Qualifications:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:
- Regularly required to: stand, walk, use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, or carry, reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance or stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Required to lift up-to 40 lbs. (regularly); up-to 50 lbs. (frequently); and up-to 100 lbs. (occasionally).
- Required to properly secure freight.
- Required to talk or hear; read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material.
- Regularly required to apply sound reasoning and logic performing daily tasks.
- Required to be able to safely operate a forklift, pallet jack and/or tractor.
- Required to be able to drive Class-B commercial vehicles.
Licensing and Screening Requirements:
- Valid Class-A or B Driver’s License; and have the ability to drive in both Washington and Oregon States.
- Clear driving record.
- Current CDL Physical.
- Position is contingent upon successful background check, acceptable motor vehicle records check, and passing a drug screen test.
- Current or able to acquire forklift certification.
