- lead place-based approaches and collective impact.
- Oversee the coordination of our work in Sandtown-Winchester and Harlem Park project zones, ensuring alignment with best practices in collective impact, data-driven strategies, and equity-centered program delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Program Coordination
Leadership and Program Coordination
- Lead the coordination of the Community Collaborative for the project zone, building out technical assistance for leadership, sub-grantees, project partners, and school-based teams.
- Design and oversee sub-granting process in partnership with community collaborative and technical assistance providers, leveraging expertise in collective impact, youth development, data systems, and equity-driven practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify community needs, set measurable objectives, and design impactful interventions. Ensure programs are culturally responsive, sustainable, and driven by equity and inclusion principles.
- Provide leadership and oversight for sub-grants to and from community-based organizations, ensuring compliance, capacity, and local relevance.
- Supervise team of community and school-based staff including but not limited to out of school time (OST), community development, organizing, and special projects aligned with project zone.
Technical Assistance and Capacity Building
- Develop and deliver capacity-building workshops, one-on-one coaching, and related support for grantees, emphasizing results-based accountability, participatory governance, and sustainable funding models.
- Establish and implement data collection and evaluation systems to monitor progress, ensure quality, and inform continuous improvement.
- Create knowledge-sharing systems and frameworks to scale and replicate effective practices across diverse communities.
- Work in partnership with local and national technical assistance providers to advance collective impact within project zone.
Portfolio Development and Revenue Generation
- Identify divisional activities and strategies that can be translated into knowledge products, fee-for-service opportunities, or replicable models.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with philanthropic, corporate, and government partners to secure funding and expand the organization’s reach.
- Manage budgets and resources associated with initiatives, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
Partnership Building and Advocacy
- Build and sustain partnerships with community-based organizations, local governments, youth, and community leaders.
- Tailor TA and capacity-building strategies to meet the unique needs of organizations and communities, ensuring equitable access and culturally responsive approaches.
- Advocate for inclusive, place-based solutions that prioritize community-driven engagement and power-sharing.
- Represent Elev8 Baltimore in public forums, coalitions, and advocacy efforts to advance place-based initiatives.
- Monitor relevant policy changes and funding opportunities to support and sustain programs.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in public administration, social work, nonprofit management, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in providing capacity-building support, technical assistance, or program management in the nonprofit, philanthropic, or government sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in place-based strategies, collective impact, and data-driven program design and evaluation.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives and prioritize effectively.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across sectors and with diverse stakeholders.
- Expertise in identifying and developing revenue-generating opportunities, including fee-for-service activities and knowledge-based products.
- In-depth understanding of the differentiated needs of organizations and communities, particularly in high-poverty or under-resourced areas.
- Proven ability to design and deliver high-quality training and capacity-building initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on translating complex ideas into actionable strategies.

Compensation
$97,000 annual salary, plus competitive benefits including generous paid time off, health benefits, company-paid life and disability benefits, as well as 403(b) retirement plan and employer contribution once eligibility criteria is met.
