Primary Purpose: Add hydraulics from the chassis to the body of the garbage truck so that it is ready for the end user.
General Description: Install hydraulic components and ensure they are all in working order for the customer.
Essential Duties
- Mount and plumb hydraulic components to the chassis.
- Install Power Take Off assemblies, hydraulic pumps, hydraulic tanks, hi psi filters, and hoses.
- Crimp and route hoses.
- Inspect and test own work for function and appearance.
- Clean and maintain an orderly work area.
- Read and comprehend technical documents, blue prints, and work orders.
- Math skills including fractions and angles.
- Read tape measure.
- Operate equipment in a safe manner and report hazards associated with the equipment or its operation to the Safety Department and Maintenance Department.
- Communicate effectively with other workers to direct personal workflow.
- Other duties as assigned
