JOB SUMMARY:
The Program Manager - Education provides the management, development and planning of education programs that foster a positive environment within youth programming. They encourage and promote a supportive environment for opportunity youth to address barriers they may be experiencing. The Program Manager also works in cooperation with individuals and groups in the community to determine the needs of youth and is responsible for developing programs and strategies to address the needs that are identified. The Program Manager supervises Youth Engagement Coordinators.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • 4+ years experience of program and/or people management 
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders and community partners
  • Direct experience working with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.)
  • Strong and engaging verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent, results oriented organizational skills, with the ability to simultaneously coordinate multiple activities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, set and change priorities while ensuring excellent attention to detail, quality and timeliness
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness and ability to maintain a flexible work schedule when necessary, consistent with the demands and needs of the executive team, volunteers, community leaders, and related special events 
  • Direct experience in working with “opportunity” or “at-risk” youth including knowledge of the Seattle Public School system
ULMS Total Compensation

WA State Paid Family & Medical Leave – 0.8% of salary - 100% employer paid 
Workers Compensation Coverage - $395.20 - $3,591.33 per year (depending on class code) 
Taxes – 9.8% of salary
