- Create detailed designs and specifications for new products and components using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
- Perform product analysis and simulations (e.g., stress, thermal, or fluid flow simulations) to ensure design feasibility and functionality.
- Develop and refine prototypes for testing and validation.
- Identify opportunities for design improvements and cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality or performance.
- Troubleshoot design issues and collaborate with the testing team to resolve product flaws during the prototype or production phases.
- Uses computer-assisted engineering software and equipment.
- Analyzes data to determine feasibility of product proposal.
- Analyzes product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs that can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods.
- Analyzes engineering proposals, process requirements, and related technical data pertaining to industrial machinery and equipment design.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for all design work, including technical drawings, specifications, and design change records.
- Ensure proper version control for design files and collaborate with manufacturing teams for seamless implementation.
- Studies engineering and technical publications to keep abreast of technological changes and developments in industry.
