ABOUT THE ROLE

SCHEDULE FOR 2024-2025:
- Fall: September to December (15-20 hours per week)
- Winter/Spring: January to June (15-20 hours per week)
COMPENSATION:
$21.50/hour
REPORTS TO:
- School Site's Extended Learning Coordinator or next-level manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Oversight and Administration:
- Assist with the implementation of after-school and summer program activities, ensuring alignment with grant requirements and program goals.
- Support the day-to-day program operations and assist with scheduling and logistics.
- Assist with the collection and submission of all required grant documentation, including attendance and progress reports.
- Collaborate with staff to establish a supportive, structured environment for students.
- Lead a team of 3-4 members in daily tasks, ensuring adherence to grant requirement timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Support for Learning Coaches:
- Provide coaching and guidance to other Learning Coaches on lesson planning and student engagement strategies.
- Offer classroom management support during enrichment activities.
- Coordinate with athletic, social, and cultural enrichment partners to implement diverse activities.
- Assist in the management of scheduling, assign tasks, and monitor workflow to optimize team efficiency.
Student Engagement:
- Plan and facilitate academic enrichment activities for a group of 10 students during after-school hours, focusing on personalized learning and engagement.
- Provide support during recreational, arts, and developmental activities to enhance students' social-emotional skills.
- Assist in organizing field trips and special events, including chaperoning students.
Family Engagement:
- Collaborate with families to foster strong home-school connections and support student success.
- Participate in family engagement events and meetings to encourage parent involvement.
- Serve as a point of contact for families regarding student progress, attendance, and engagement.
Program Setup and Maintenance:
- Set up and break down classroom spaces, ensuring proper materials and equipment are organized.
- Assist with the distribution and cleanup of meals (snacks, lunch during summer, and dinner).
Training and Development:
- Attend staff meetings and professional development, including national training opportunities (as applicable).
- Participate in ongoing evaluation of program effectiveness and suggest improvements.
Other:
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the program's success.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- High school diploma is required, and some college.
- Authorization for background check (criminal and child protective services).
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and able to provide proof of vaccination.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience developing group lesson plans or integrated enrichment activities.
