- Oversee the daily operation of CVI ensuring efficiency and adherence to The Chef’s Garden policies and procedures.
- Provide leadership and development for the CVI team by establishing clear performance standards and facilitating regular communications to align goals and objectives.
- Meet with clients to discuss event details, budget, and expectations.
- Coordinate all aspects of event planning, including venue selection, menu preferences, décor, entertainment, server staffing, logistics, event follow-up and coordination with other areas of the farm.
- Create and maintain event timelines and schedules.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
- Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown.
- Coordinates ongoing CVI calendar with Farm events, guest stays, and tours.
- Ensure client satisfaction and address any issues or concerns that may arise during events.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless event operations.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include being a part of the interviewing and hiring processes when appropriate; training/teaching employees; planning, assigning, scheduling, and directing work; setting expectations; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of CVI staff hours and service charge allocations to payroll for processing and any other CVI accounting functions.
- Any other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Hospitality Management, event planning, or related field
- Proven experience in event planning, preferably in a fine dining or similar setting
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Creative and detail oriented
- Proficiency in Google programs
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
