Position Summary 
The CVI Director will help ensure a seamless and quality guest experience at The Culinary Vegetable Institute (CVI) and will be responsible for coordinating and executing a variety of events with world-renowned chefs, corporate meetings, weddings, parties, and other special occasions.   Will also be responsible for the day-to-day administrative responsibilities of the facility. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and leadership skills, strong communication abilities, experience writing contracts, and a passion for creating memorable experiences for our clients. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
  •  
    • Oversee the FOH customer experience at The Culinary Vegetable Institute (CVI).  Meet with clients to discuss event details, budget, and expectations and negotiate all contracts. 
    • Ensure the CVI operates profitably, sustainably and in accordance with the expectations of The Chef’s Garden (TCG) and its respective stakeholders. 
    • Manage FOH team that coordinates aspects of event planning. 
    • Coordinates ongoing CVI calendar with Farm events, guest stays, and tours.
    • Coordinate marketing efforts with TCG and CVI to ensure that both entities support each other through a common focus while respecting time and resource availability. 
    • Oversight of the CVI tab on TCG website with responsibility to manage content and platform activities. Review and approval of all campaigns and marketing that carry CVI and affiliated names. 
    • Explore new partnerships, promotions and revenue opportunities through strategic business development activities. 
    • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. 
    • Any other duties as assigned.

 
Qualifications 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Hospitality Management, event planning, or related field 
  • Proven experience in event planning, preferably in a fine dining or similar setting 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities 
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure 
  • Creative and detail oriented 
  • Proficiency in Google programs 
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
