Job Summary:

Essential Functions

  • Provide general maintenance services and repairs to all facility property 
  • Respond to maintenance requests and resolve maintenance issues promptly 
  • Complete maintenance work orders from all departments on a timely basis by following Goodstone's standard operating procedures 
  • Demonstrate the ability to cooperate and work as a team member to ensure the quality of facility services 
  • Assist in maintaining supplies and keeping storerooms clean and organized 
  • Participate in the "on call" process with other team members for after-hours maintenance needs and emergencies 
  • Respond and attend to guest repair requests 
  • Janitorial duties 
  • Perform various maintenance functions such as electrical installations, pool maintenance, carpentry/construction, furnace, and air conditioner repairs, filter changing, coil cleaning, plumbing and appliance repairs, drywall and painting repairs, vinyl installation and repairs, minor roof repairs, etc. 
  • Demonstrated experience in the safe handling and use of tools normally used in construction, maintenance, and landscaping. Includes but is not limited to a circular saw, power drill, bench grinder, string trimmer, hedge trimmer, power floor cleaner, carpet cleaner, paint sprayer, power drain cleaner, chain saw, and key machine 
 
Preferred Education and Experience: 
 
  • Must have a valid Driver's License to operate company equipment
  • Enthusiastic working outside throughout the year with a good level of fitness and stamina for outside working
  • Methodical and well-managed working methods to ensure all priority areas are maintained and well-presented throughout the week
  • Relevant licenses/certifications a plus
  • Good understanding of English, written and spoken
  • Previous experience providing maintenance services in an Estate or Hospitality setting
  • To work neatly and efficiently, keep work areas clean and well organized.
  • High School Diploma or relevant experience preferred.
  • Must have three years of hands-on experience in one of the following disciplines: 1) Minor Electrical 2) Painting 3) Plumbing 4) A/C repairs.

This job operates in a professional hospitality environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

  • Must be able to accept constructive criticism from supervisors
  •  Must be able to change activity frequently and cope with last-minute room changes
  •  Must be able to work inside and out, in all weather conditions
  •  Must be able to maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
  •  Must be physically able to work in the year-around and outdoor environment performing manual labor
 Physical Demands:

An employee must meet the physical demands described here to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. The employee frequently is expected to stand for long periods; walk; climb stairs comfortably; use hands to finger; handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and requires the ability to lift products and supplies of up to 50 pounds occasionally. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
