SUMMARY
The Drop-In Child Care Lead is responsible for ensuring a safe and caring space for the children of Center for Transforming Lives’ participants as they access services onsite. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the drop-in space, providing oversight to volunteers, and partnering with other CTL staff and departments to ensure children receive quality care during service delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Oversees the daily operations of drop-in child care to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in care.
● Creates and implements processes for pick up and drop off, ensures appropriate ratios are maintained, and ensures adequate coverage for the drop-in space.
● Partners with other CTL staff and departments to ensure care is available during times needed for participants.
● Creates policies and procedures, in partnership with leadership, to maintain effective service delivery and ensures that compliance is maintained.
● Oversees and provides supervision to volunteers that work in the drop-in child care space.
● Ensures the drop-in space has adequate furniture, items, and resources to support the care of children ranging from 6 weeks to 10 years.
● Communicates effectively with guardians and provides reports of incidents that occur as necessary.
● Ensures the drop-in child care space is well maintained, clean, and supports the needs of children in care.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
● Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
● Three to five years of experience in an early childhood setting or other classroom setting preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
● Knowledge of the Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards.
● Knowledge of best practices in child development.
● Knowledge of Windows operating system and Office products, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, or the ability to learn them independently and to use them.
● Ability to learn and use any other software programs needed in the operations of CTL programs.
Compensation: $55,000.00 per year
