About the Role: The Global TCK Coordinator coordinates all aspects of service and care related to the dependent children of active TEAM global workers. The TCK Care Coordinator will recruit, train and develop a team of TCK Care Facilitators who will provide spiritual, emotional and relational care to families who desire help and support for their children. This includes keeping demographic and administrative data related to children of TEAM workers, overseeing educational consultation and services, coordinating TCK Care, and participating in the application assessment of the children of potential workers. The TCK Care Coordinator is also responsible for overseeing all aspects of TCK care and training at the Appointee Orientation gatherings and will work with event coordinators to provide childcare and children’s programming for larger TEAM events throughout the world. 
 
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
Oversee educational consultation services 
  • Help families develop adequate educational plans for each child  
  • Develop a network of TEAM workers involved in TCK education keeping them connected with each other and available to TEAM families as needed 
Oversee TCK Care Services 
Serve as a link between TEAM families, TCK Caregivers, and the Global Member Care Team for each phase (pre-deployment/deployment/re-entry) 
  • Oversee the children’s program for appointee orientations; Develop a curriculum for educating children of various ages toward cross-cultural preparedness; Recruit and staff for children’s program needs 
  • Provide resources that would be helpful to parents in raising children overseas; Coordinate team of TCK Caregivers; Manage resourcing and training that team to provide ongoing care 
  • Develop and oversee systems of care for TCKs as desired by their families 
  • Stay abreast of re-entry programs and resources available for students returning to the USA 
 Other responsibilities 
  • Maintain accurate demographic and administrative data for dependent children of active global workers in TEAM’s database system of record 
  • Attend conferences on TCK care and education; Model healthy living in relationship with the Lord, in team relationships and in self-care 
  • Assist leadership in developing policies and procedures for TCKs and their families 
Qualifications of the Role: 
  • Spiritually mature with a growing relationship with Jesus Christ 
  • At least 4 years of experience in global missions with TEAM or similar agency 
  • Extensive knowledge of child development and the varieties of educational options that comes from a bachelor's degree in education, child development or another relevant field and/or equivalent experience 
  • Substantial knowledge of and experience working with children of global workers; able to develop rapport with children. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to easily maintain prudence in communication 
  • Strong administrative, research and record-keeping skills.
