TITLE: Associate Pastor-East Bay

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
This position will support the Campus Pastor in all campus ministries and weekend services with a focus on Youth Ministry. This person must love people and have a passion to see them connected in community and ministry.
QUALIFICATIONS (AT THE TIME OF HIRE)
· Friendly to others. A “people” person. One who attracts people to themselves. High “likeability” quotient.
· Patience necessary to deal with the reality of volunteers falling short in fulfilling their responsibility and problem solve in real time when this happens.
· A positive attitude of faith and fun. We believe the best in people, and we laugh a lot along the journey.
· A high level of professional behavior in dealing with people in the church, as well as other pastors/employees.
· A personal life devoted to loving God, living a life of personal holiness and purity in attitude, thought, conversation and generosity.
· Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on student ministry, leadership and administrative experience.
· Consistent involvement with the pastoral needs of students and adults.
· Knowledge of systematic team building and leadership development.
· Ability to communicate vision.
· Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Must be willing to learn new programs as needed.
· Must be energetic and able to stand or sit for lengths of time as needed.
Reporting Relationships
· Reports directly to the East Bay Campus Pastor and works closely with the Central Campus Youth Pastor
RESPONSIBILITIES
Principal duties include overseeing the following ministries:
Group Ministry
· Coordinating campus Group ministry through overseeing Group Leaders Training sessions.
· Overseeing the Area Directors and their Zone Leaders in personal relationship.
· Promoting Groups twice a year during our Group emphasis weekends. Lobby décor, online presence, available groups, in lobby Group registrations.
· Ensure the Groups in kept in public view throughout the year from the pulpit by Lead Campus Pastor
Connect Team
· Manage the Connect Team Lead
· Oversee scheduling and making sure each service has adequate coverage.
· Make sure Team members have current upcoming campus event information.
· Recruit and training new team members.
· Manage the “next steps” for each person who completes the Connect form.
Essentials Class
· Develop team of communicators who lead each session
· Develop team of coaches who host discussion tables and follow up with their people during the week
· Create a welcoming class environment and create a sense of positive energy in the room making people feel they are part of something big
Discover Class
· Schedule the communicators who lead each class
· Make sure the follow up procedures are fulfilled [phone calls, texts, emails, personal meetings]
Public Ministry
· Assist Lead Campus Pastor in leading weekend services in the areas of service hosting, periodic weekend preaching, and message response/salvation calls at end of messages.
· Help lead Thursday night Pursuit prayer gatherings through public prayer and prophetic moments.
· Attend all campus special events throughout the year.
Personal Ministry
· Meet with campus members needing personal care, counseling and prayer.
· Facilitate Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts pre-marriage mentoring of 1 or 2 couples a year.
· Perform weddings and funerals as requested.
Youth Ministry
· Overseeing Wednesday Night youth services: ensuring service order is set and details and vision for the night are communicated to team leads, helps run pre-service production and preservice leaders meeting. Helps establish teams and raise up leaders for areas of ministry including but not limited to greeting teams, pre and post-service teams, party planning teams, etc.
· Preach at least once a month in youth service.
· Create worship sets list, schedule worship teams, and pastor the worship pipeline, raising up future worship leaders.
· Oversee campus clubs, create strategy, and oversee the recruiting and raising up of leaders and student leaders to start new campus clubs. Attend at least one campus club a week.
· Establish a student leadership development pipeline.
· Oversee the social media for TFH Youth and focus on engagement and outreach to students through social media.
· Be at all services on the weekend and pursuit on Thursdays, ready to add to the atmosphere and be a pastoral presence in service.
· Help when needed with major events like conferences and camps.
Salary Range: $65,000-$80,000 per year
Compensation: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
