Title: High School Spanish Instructor
Reports to: High School Principal
Duration: Part-Time or Full-Time possibility


The High School Spanish Instructor will report to the High School principal. The primary duties of this position are to prepare lessons centered around a biblical worldview, create an engaging classroom environment, and maintain consistent lines of communication with administration, parents, and students.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Teach assigned High School Spanish courses that focus on oral and written communication skills.
• Devise lesson plans that follow GCA’s Curriculum and Instruction Standards and Course Maps
• Demonstrate and reinforce an appreciation for world cultures.
• Hold students to a clearly articulated standard of performance.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods.
• Differentiate instruction for students with learning challenges.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes safe learning.
• Create lessons that clearly present a Christian worldview.
• Facilitate course discussions on social issues through a Christian lens while acknowledging various denominational differences to avoid divisive opinions.
• Utilize Google Classroom for instructional resources.
• Update grades and lesson plans weekly in Renweb/FACTS.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Offer Academic Support each morning before school.
• Attend Weekly Professional Learning Community.
• Participate in extra programs (Beyond the Classroom, Winterim, School Retreat).
• Attend after-school programming as requested.

EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.

EXPERIENCE
• Working with high school students.
