We are hiring for Part Time Learning Coaches for multiple school sites in Baltimore City. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

- Fall: September to December (15-20 hours per week)
- Winter/Spring: January to May (15-20 hours per week)
- Summer: mid-June to August (30-36 hours per week) - for Freedom School and SummerREADS
COMPENSATION:
$18.50/hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with staff to establish and maintain a supportive and structured environment for the youth entrusted to their care
- Serve as a facilitator or assistant to implement after-school and summer program activities and other special events, including chaperone field trips hosted during program hours
- Plan and conduct academic enrichment time for a group of 15-20 students during after school hours
- Provide classroom management support during recreational, arts and developmental activities for youth
- Collaborate with athletic, social and cultural enrichment partners to implement after-school and/or summer activities
- Complete required documentation, including attendance rosters
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities including national training, if applies, to support summer programming
- Assist with the distribution and cleanup of snacks, lunch (summer only) and dinner meals
- Set up and break down his/her classroom space, including securing and organizing the appropriate materials
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent required - unless currently in high school
- Minimum of two years of college in related field preferred
- Able to lead and participate in group sports and recreation.
- Experience in developing group lesson plans or integrated learning and enrichment activities
- Must have a commitment to working with youth from a strength based and/or youth development perspective
- Ability to motivate others and work as part of an inter-generational team
- Strong appreciation and understanding of individual cultural history and the willingness to be open and respectful of all cultures
- Willingness to strive for excellence in all areas
- Ability to think critically and analytically
- Must exhibit positive attitude
- Must model a mature and professional demeanor
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to the ethics of good character, humility, and servant leadership
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Authorization for background check for criminal and child protective findings
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of software
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID and show proof of vaccination
