- Code invoices for proper payment and account distribution using proper vendor numbers; set up new vendors when necessary.
- Obtain necessary documents/claims needed for annual Quality Assurance audit.
- Assist with Marketing, ordering supplies when needed, attend marketing events to obtain new patients for the clinic.
- Type memos, letters, and other materials as assigned.
- Maintain and order office supplies and equipment as needed.
- Receive and direct phone calls, and make appointments for the clinic.
- Maintain front office traffic in regards to appointments, and assist Nurse Practitioner as needed.
- Maintain a record of patients served including service dates, birthdates, SSN/other benefits, and any other pertinent information.
- Contact vendors for repairs as needed upon the request of the Executive Director. All the repairs are subject to the approval of the Executive Director.
- Maintain a general ledger of accounts for all (CASH) clients including receipts and copies of the checks; provide a monthly statement of these activities to the Executive Director.
- Screen potential patients as requested, and assist with labs.
- Ensure all patient billing is signed, coded, and filled out correctly to submit to the billing clinic and communicate effectively with billing clinic associates.
- Assist with administrative work in the office and clinic as assigned.
- Ensure the cleanliness of exam rooms.
- Complete general office filing of staff and client files.
- Collect and send overnight packages to the lab companies as needed.
- Opening and closing the Evergreen/Abundant Office.
- Effectively read, write and communicate verbally in English and must be able to read and understand instructions, perform record keeping and write reports.
- Valid driver’s license, which meets Evergreen requirements for insurance purposes and proof of liability coverage if a vehicle is owned.
- Meet and maintain all requirements of the applicable state agency (ies), including good standing with the state abuse and neglect registry.
- Submit to and pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Ability to learn basic computer skills (i.e. turn on/off, log in/out, input data, approve timesheet).
- Prior Medical Coding/Billing experience is recommended.
- Prior Medical/Doctors office experience is recommended.
- Constantly moves about to coordinate work.
- Regularly moves and positions objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Regularly assist individuals physically by lifting and positioning them as appropriate.
- Constantly alert and aware of a person’s needs.
- Occasionally exposed to viruses and infectious conditions.
- Represent Evergreen/ Abundant Healthcare in public in a fashion that would reflect the credibility and professionalism of the organization.
- Desire to work with people with disabilities and enhance their quality of life
- Function successfully in stressful situations
- Ability to work extra hours when needed
- Must have a good driving record that meets the minimum requirements for Evergreen and reliable transportation. Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Must be able to work nights and weekends when required.
