Job Title: Pre-School Teacher Assistant for Two-year-old class
Reports To: Director of Little Rams
Time Status: Monday-Fridays, 8:30-2:15 p.m.
SUMMARY
The Pre-School Teacher Assistant will reflect high professional standards, integrity, and a commitment to excellence within a Christian school environment. The Pre-School Teacher Assistant selected for this position should have prior experience working with young children. The teaching assistant will assist with developing interactive activities that are fun and educational for children enrolled in the two-year-old class.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:
- Required to work under the direct supervision of the classroom teacher.
- Attend all scheduled trainings, staff meetings, and staff development sessions to comply with standards and regulations
- Assist with diagnostic tools as directed by the teacher.
- Assist with the preparation of the classroom and organizing all instructional materials and equipment as directed by the teacher.
- Must not discuss confidential school business or student records.
- Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in education.
- Assist with maintaining records by documenting learning accomplishments, attendance, and behavior.
- Observe and participate in parent-teacher conferences.
- Assist with maintaining an organized, safe, and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Promote feelings of trust and security in the program.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of each child by responding to their emotional, social, and physical needs as well as their educational needs.
- Establish and maintain a positive relationship with families, allowing the teacher to address concerns to parents.
- Work with the teaching team in all activities, including but not limited to housekeeping, diapering, toilet training, meal service, and record keeping.
- Maintain a positive and professional self-image and project the Christian values and beliefs of the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Ability to articulate and integrate a biblical worldview in all aspects of teaching.
