- Answer all inquiries from divisional offices and employees promptly and courteously, and ensure that relevant information is given.
- Respond to requests from various agencies for information and ensure a timely response.
- Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees related to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Maintain human resources information system records and compile reports from databases.
- File documents into the appropriate employee electronic files and keep files up to date with changes.
- Track the status of candidates in HRIS and respond with follow-up or assist divisions with follow-up and onboarding.
- Consult with divisions to understand the requirements, duties, and qualifications desired for the specified vacant position(s).
- Create and maintain job postings on appropriate platforms.
- Create, update, and maintain job descriptions.
- Work with the administrative staff at the division to timely process applicants.
- Support recruitment efforts for exempt and nonexempt personnel.
- Processes and coordinates pre-employment screenings, i.e., background, drug screens, and any other relevant pre-employment testing.
- Maintain basic knowledge concerning applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations.
- Finalize the separation process, including removal from payroll and all applicable systems, coordination of benefit terminations, and distribution of exit interviews.
- Respond to unemployment claims, track, and participate in telephone hearings.
- Supports payroll duties as needed.
- Assists with the performance evaluation process and ensures timely evaluations are conducted for all employees.
- Assists with benefits administration, talent management, and other related HR functions.
- Create and maintain a position manual.
- Assist with other departmental needs as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience in Human Resources preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Regularly moves about to coordinate work.
- Regularly works in a fast-paced environment with multiple task deadlines.
- Regularly moves and positions objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally exposed to viruses and infectious conditions.
- Constantly alert and observant during working hours.
- This position does not have direct reports.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace.
- Aptitude to learn other software programs as required for this position.
- Must have a good driving record that meets the minimum requirements for Evergreen and have reliable transportation.
- Must pass drug screen, criminal background check, and other pre-employment requirements.
- Must be able to work some evenings when required.
- May be required to travel occasionally for meetings, trainings, or events.
- General office environment.
