Urological Associates of Savannah, PC has an immediate full-time, benefited opening for an experienced Medical Charge Poster , CPC not required for this position.  This position is hybrid.  Responsibilities will include posting E/M clinic encounters, ancillary procedures, radiology, procedures performed within the physician practice and surgical procedures.  The Medical Charge Poster will work as part of the billing department and follow all coding and regulatory guidelines. Knowledge of Greenway PrimeSuite EMR and/or Allscripts helpful.  This position will need to have a working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT coding and familiarity with medical and insurance terminology to correctly code and bill claims to payers.  Must be able to multi-task and have excellent organizational skills.  Competitive salary and excellent benefits package included. 
General Summary of Duties:  Performs all necessary tasks related to charge posting and reconciliation and perform special projects as directed. 
Education:  High School Graduate or equivalent 
Experience:  Minimum one (1) year experience in a professional billing department or related work experience is required. CPC certification required. 
Performance Requirements: 
  • Knowledge of-- billing practices and clinic policies/procedures; coding and clinic operating policies; medical terminology; insurance industry; grammar, spelling and punctuation to type correspondence
  • Skills in--computer programs, spreadsheets, applications; using a calculator; typing 40wpm
  • Ability to--understand/interpret policies and regulations; prepare documents in response to complaints/inquiries; examine documents for accuracy/completeness; master all system computer functions applicable to duties and maintain proficiency; read, understand, and follow oral and written instruction; sort and file materials correctly by alphabetical or numeric system; communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with staff and others
