Urology Surgery Center of Savannah has an immediate opening for a full-time Certified Surgical Scrub Technologist to work in its AAAHC-accredited ambulatory surgery center.  Daytime work hours, no weekends.  Previous CST experience required with current BLS certification.  Physical demands include periods of standing, moving gurneys, carts and equipment, assisting with positioning surgical patients.  This is a benefitted position with vacation and sick time accrual as well as health insurance and 401k retirement plan participation available.
Job Summary:  The CST, under the guidance of the staff registered nurse, is responsible for the care and safety of the patients who come under his/her care.  The CST is responsible for ensuring effective communications between him/herself, the circulating nurse, the patient, other staff and physicians.  By anticipating the needs of the surgeon, the CST provides assistance while maintaining an aseptic and safe surgical  environment.
Education, Training and Experience:  Current ORT Certification, Demonstrates ability to provide quality patient care.  Communicates and works  efficiently with people.  CPR certification.
